Walk of the Santas Weekend
Town of Dover, Home of Mount Snow, Vermont

Santa Pledge Walk Join the Mount Snow Valley the weekend of December 12th - 14th, 2008 as we celebrate Santa. It will be a weekend full of Holiday cheer and fun activities for all ages! We are raising money for heat assistance and we need your help.

On Saturday, there will be a pledge walk at Mount Snow. We are asking you to get as many pledges as you can from friends and family. Raise $50 or more and your Santa Suit is free!* All the Santas will gather and then walk around the base area of Mount Snow. We sing carols, give out candy, its a really fun time. The weekend will be full of great activities including;
  • Santa Pledge Walk
    Bring your pledges to Mount Snow on Sunday and at noon we'll all gather for photos and the walk around the base lodge singing carols, handing out candy and basically spreading good cheer! More info...
  • Charity Concert with Peter Miles and High Road
    Peter Miles returns to Dover and we'll be celebrating at Deegan's Saturday night. $10 donation will get you a Santa ID Card to qualify you for discounts throughout the valley. There will also be a raffle for a drive up the mountain with master chef, Cleon Boyd! More info...
  • Bright Lights of Dover
    This holiday season the Town of Dover will be lit up! Both commercial and residential properties have been invited to take part and enticed by two grand prizes of $1,000! So come on down to Dover and check out the holiday lights and decorations. It is due to be a festive season! Brought to you by the Dover Economic Development Committee
  • Valley Wide Scavenger Hunt
    On Saturday afternoon after the walk Santas may participate in a Valley Wide Scavenger Hunt. Travel around solving clues and those who finish will be entered to win a Grand Prize!
  • Snowman Contest
    Snow or no snow, we'll be hosting a snowman making competition at the Matterhorn. No snow? We'll get creative. All welcome. Register online ahead of time as space is limited.
  • Gingerbread House & Christmas Tree Exhibit
    On Saturday afternoon, local school kids, residents and business will put on a display of Gingerbread Houses and Christmas Trees. Vote for your favorite. The school class with the most votes wins a party!
  • Bonfire Party
    On Friday evening we will kick off the weekend at the Matterhorn Inn. Pick up your Santa suit early, have dinner, a couple of drinks and hang out at the bonfire.
  • Arts & Craft Fair
    Mount Snow will host an Arts & Craft Fair, a perfect chance to get all your holiday shopping done with great country items and more.
  • Lodging & Shopping Discounts
    If the Craft Fair doesn't help you finish your shopping list, stores, restaurants and lodging throughout the valley will be offering discounts that weekend. Be sure to check back closer to the time as there will be special discounts specific to Santa ID card holders.
  • $25 off skiing/riding at Mount Snow
    Show up at the ticket window at Mount Snow on Saturday December 13th with your Santa outfit and receive $25 off skiing & riding for the day.

  • The Vermont Chamber of Commerce chose Walk of the Santas as a Top Ten Event for the winter 07-08. This is quite an honor in a state that prides itself on the winter season. Join us this year and see for yourself what a fun winter event this is!


    Celebrate the Valley, Inc is a non-profit organization run by members of the Mount Snow Valley community. Our goal is to showcase our valley through events & entertainment that celebrate the beauty and richness of our valley. Part of the proceeds of all of our events are contributed to local charities and other non-profts. We are always looking for people to help us with our mission.
